Robotic Mowing

Quiet, Safe, Efficient

Autonomus Mowing, Start to Finish.

Simple, Clean, Lawn Care

No Work, No Worry, Environmentally Sound

Why, How, Now

Environmental Benefits

  • Zero emissions.
  • Zero on site fossil fuel usage, gas & oil. No fuel spillage.
  • Noise pollution reduction, robotic mowers are very quiet.
  • No yard waste, lawn clippings are never removed from site as mower operates continually and creates a fine mulch that is incorporated into lawn.

How it works

A base station: the "home" for the mower. The mower automatically docks and recharges here.

Gps way points: lat/long points creating a perimeter that defines the mowers area of operation.

A perimeter fence: a "dog fence" wire is installed that defines the mowers area of operation.

A mower: a battery powered mower, managed by state of the art sensors and onboard computer.

A Life Hack

Outdoor negatives become positives

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Safety
Each mower has sensors that shutoff mower if it is picked up.
Each mower uses sensors that redirect mower upon contact with an obstacle.
A user defined PIN number can be set so that mowers menu can only be accessed after entering it. The PIN number cannot be changed – even if the battery is removed or the unit is reset – to reduce the possibility of theft.
While each unit has been designed with comprehensive safety features, each unit is an active lawn mower and should be respected as such.
    Pets/wildlife
Dogs:The mowers operate with a perimeter fence similar to an underground dog fence. Does this impact dogs with the collar? “There has never been a reported impact of the dog collar being activated by the fence.” Also they operate different frequencies.
No negative impact to wildlife has been seen. The rabbits and squirrels observed watching the mowers seemed wary but amused around the mower
Does the mower operate in the rain?
Each mower has built in adjustable rain sensors that instruct the mower to cease mowing and return to the base station. Mowing will then resume at the next programmed period, catching up on the lost mowing time later in the week.
    Can I name the mower
    Of course
The winning name at the office was ‘mowbot’, although, in all honesty, I voted for naming the mower ‘lulu’.
Can I have a striped ‘Baseball field’ pattern in my lawn?
No. The mowers operate by mowing in a random pattern in the areas they maintain. However, gps controlled mowers are being developed to mow in a striped pattern.
What about Team members relation to the introduction of autonomous mowing?
Properties require still visits to maintain the property.
Lawn areas under care of robotic mowers still require periodic visits by team members to monitor operation and perform maintenance on the units.
In a commercial setting: Team members are instructed as to the positive environmental benefits of adopting autonomous mowing as part of a program that uses less environmentally negative impactful property maintenance equipment and how that contributes to the environmental efforts for and with our customers.

    About

Robotic mowing contributing to a sustainable Green Industry

The Green Industry is not 'Green'

The introduction of the gps currently with Husqvarna EPOS (Exact Positioning Operating System) is a leap forward in the installation and management of autonomous mowing. In a few short years the robotic mowers have integrated; cellular connectivity, advanced on board sensors,’Trimble’ level gps and advanced battery management. It is possible to manage small 1000 square foot areas to large acre(s) sized areas with one or more of the units pictured. All managed and manageable from a smart phone. Solar powered base stations, striped lawns and more are currently in development.

Install a mower for the environment - act local contribute globally.

It is estimated that 17 million gallons of gas are spilled annually while refilling lawn mowers. In contrast, the Exxon Valdez spill was just under 11 million gallons. The EPA estimates that hour-for-hour, gasoline powered lawn mowers produce 11 times as much pollution as a new car.

    Install for ease and automation

‘A study conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center in 2008 found that 58% of those polled do not enjoy mowing their lawns.’
